পাটগ্রাম বুড়িমারী বর্ডারে রেড এলাট জারি করেছে BGB

PATGRAM, LALMONIRHAT: Patgram-Burimari frontier areas have been put on red alert as a precautionary measure ahead of a scheduled visit of Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Home Minister P Chidambaram to Dahgram under Patgram upazila.

The decision was made at a commander-level meeting between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) Monday.

Talking to banglanews Burimari BGB company commander Subedar Al Helal said, “An undeclared red alert has been issued on both sides of the borderer for ensuring foolproof security through tightening joint BGB-BSF patrol on the occasion of PM’s visit.”

In this regard, BSF Jalpaiguri sector commander Gajinder Singh has already made a courtesy call on Rangpur BGB sector commander Neyamul Islam Fatemi, according to sources.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit Dahagram-Angarpota enclave on October 19 to see the changes taking place in the lot of the god-forsaken people following Indo-Bangladesh accords.

The premier will inaugurate union parishad building, power- transmission line and a 10-bed hospital in the area.

Later, Sheikh Hasina will go to Patgram by road. She will address a public rally to be organized at Patgram Govt College by Awami League`s Patgram unit.
